BTS Members Announce Military Enlistment
Biggest Korean Pop Act BTS have recently announced that they will go and serve in the military for their country. This news may come as a shocker but to Armies, this news was both expected and sorrowful.
Earlier, after the release of their album proof. The BTS members announced that they will be taking time off as a group and will do solo activities to explore themselves as artists. After this news, many people have been speculating about their awaited military enlistment. Member RM also hinted at this possible announcement by saying ” it can be our last time to sing those songs in person ”

BTS Members Announce Military Enlistment- “We’ll withdraw our request delaying Jin’s enlistment at the end of the month and will follow the administration’s enlistment procedures,” and added the other members will also enlist in order according to their plans.
Bighit Music Also added that it hopes to see BTS as a full piece in 2025 but asked for understanding as it’s difficult to specify the exact timing for a full-group comeback at this point.BTS Members Announce Military Enlistment.
The Issue
If classical Musicians and National Players can get an exemption then why not a Kpop Group? Although just by saying a Kpop group, I think it would be an understatement. BTS generates $3.6 billion dollars annually, this was from a 2018 report but now their influence has increased a lot, their YouTube channel alone can generate $2 million dollars a month.
Earlier in the year 2020, the Korean government provided an exemption of 5 years to the group and there was a bill in the parliament that was made to exempt bts from military service although the bill got scraped and the government changed after this the new government started a bill on letting the group so concert while being in the military. This bill is still the most talked about issue as the government where the president himself never served in the military can’t provide their country’s biggest moneymaker a military exemption and now they are trying to make money while overworking the members.
A comment made by a Korean minister who stated that there should be some rule which allows BTS to perform overseas while they are in the military seemed almost like a desperate attempt. Jin’s Solo Astronaut
Good news also came along with military enlistment. Member Jin’s solo is set to release on 28th October at 1 pm est. This is a solo song that is a gift from Coldplay to Jin. Both Jin And Coldplay are credited as co-writers of the song.
Twitter flooded with support for the artist and wish him all the very best for his future activities.
A logo trailer was also realized on the 18th of October. It showed An astronaut leaving his spacecraft and traveling into space in the two-minute-plus clip. The moon, a satellite, and rocks were all seen by the astronaut. The astronaut was shown being sent through space at the end of the video, pausing for a split second before being engulfed in a dazzling burst of light.
