Almost everyone knew the famous and reputed Sidhu Moose Wala. He was recently shot dead on the 29 of May 2022. His death has brought a huge shock to both his family and his fans.
· Full Name: His real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu.
· Profession: He was a well-known Indian singer, rapper-actor, and politician.
· Hometown: He was born and brought up in the small village of Moosa in the Mansa district of Punjab.
· Date of Birth: He was born on the date 11 June 1993. He was born into a Sikh family.
· Degree: He holds a degree in Electrical engineering.
· Graduation: He completed his graduation in the year 2016 from the well-reputed college Guru Nanak Engineering college in Ludhiana.
· Family background: His father Balkaur Singh Sidhu was a retired government employee, and his mother is Charan Kaur Sidhu the Sarpanch of Moosa village. She won the polls in December 2018 by a margin of 600 votes. He also had a brother namely Gurpreet Singh.
· Music Career: Following his graduation, Moosewala migrated to Canada and released his first song, ‘G Wagon.’ In 2018, he rose to fame with his song ‘So High.’ On the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, his debut album PBX1 was ranked 66th. His single ’47’ was charted in the United Kingdom. His song Bambiha Bole reached number five on the global YouTube music chart. In 2021, he released Moosetape tracks, which were also well-received around the world. He gave live performances in India and several other countries. Moosewala later established his own record company, 5911 Records. The majority of his songs focused on the Jat Sikh community.
· Political career: In the run-up to the Punjab Assembly polls, Moosewala joined the Congress and ran unsuccessfully from Mansa. Vijay Singla of the AAP defeated him by 63,323 votes. His nearer aides claim that his relatives have also been an admirer of Congress in the past. His mother was elected as a Congress sarpanch, paving the way for her son to become a member of the same political party.
· Death: Moosewala died on 29 May 2022.
· Reason for death: He was shot dead.
