Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) – Assistant Commandants (Executive) LDCE Exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Central Industrial Security Force Assistant Commandant Executive Limited Departmental Competitive Exam (CISF AC(EXE) LDCE) to fill vacancies for Assistant Commandants (Executive) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Some basic knowledge about the exam:

The number of vacant positions to be filled based on the examination results will be stipulated in the Commission’s notice. Candidates must have completed 4 years of consistent service in the rank of Sub Inspector (GD)/Inspector (GD), including basic training, and must have a clean service record up until the issue of the offer of initial consultation to be eligible.

Candidates who apply for this exam should make sure they meet all of the requirements for admission. Their admittance to all stages of the examinations for which they are admitted by the Commission, namely the Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standard Tests, and Personality/Interview Tests, will be purely provisional pending their compliance with the given prescription eligibility requirements. 

After the Ministry of Home Affairs publishes the Rules of the Examination in the Indian Gazette and the Commission publishes the notification of the examination, the candidates must fout fill out the application form on the UPSC website and send a hard copy to the CISF authorities for verification and transmission to the Commission.

The Central Industrial Security Force will examine applications to determine candidates’ eligibility based on the specified eligibility conditions.

Eligibility:

  •   The Physical Efficiency Test will be administered to candidates who meet the required physical standards (PET);
  •   These tests will only be for qualification purposes and will not be graded. Even a single failure in one of these tests will result in disqualification;
  •   The Medical Standard Tests and Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests will be carried out under the supervision of the CISF. These tests will be held at various locations that will be announced after the written examination results are released.
  •   The candidate should not squint in any way and have excellent color vision. Ishihara’s test as well as Edridge’s Green Lantern Test will be used to assess the candidate’s color vision. The eyes should not be bright, clear, or disease-free. Eyeball movement should be complete and unrestricted in all directions. A fundus examination should be performed in every case of myopia, and the results should be recorded. It is not permitted to wear contact lenses or undergo laser surgery.
  •   Carrying angle
  •   A graduate from a recognized university will be required to participate in this competitive examination.
  •   It will be advantageous to have an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate. These desirable qualifications will only be taken into account during the interview/personality test.
  •   Candidates should ensure that they meet all of the eligibility entry requirements to the examination before applying.
  •   The candidates must be under the age of 35 on August 1st of the examination year. If a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, however, the age restriction prescribed above may be relaxed up to a maximum of five years.
  •   Each candidate who is eligible for the examination will be given three chances to take the exam.
