On Tuesday, the Punjab Police made a major advancement in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder investigation when they arrested one of the suspects in Dehradun. Manpreet Singh, a native of Punjab’s Dhaipei village, was arrested in the Uttarakhand capital together with five others.
According to police sources, Manpreet provided logistical support to the assailants in the murder case by providing both of the cars used in the crime – a Corolla and a Bolero. Manpreet was brought before a Mansa court on Tuesday, where he was sentenced to five-day police remand, according to SSP, Mansa, Gaurav Toora.
Moose Wala was killed in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. The 27-year-old singer, who was also a Congress leader, was assassinated just one day after the state government was overthrown. The Punjab Police also presented two gangsters from distinct jails on a production arrest warrant for questioning in charged with the death, but they have not been formally arrested in the case. According to sources, the two gangsters were managed to bring from the jails of Bathinda and Ferozepore.
Manpreet has a history of ties to gangsters, according to intelligence sources, even though he has never been charged with a heinous crime. Dhaipei, his village, is close to Burj Jawaharke, where Moose Wala was killed.
The 2 different gangsters were apprehended based on intelligence that they were using phones and may have been associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to police officials. The murderers, Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, have confessed to the crime. In a previous case, Bishnoi was sentenced to five days in police custody. In the Moose Wala murder case, the Delhi Police Special Cell will question him.
With Manpreet’s arrest, the investigation into the case has accelerated. The Balero jeep and Toyota Corolla car were previously recovered by Punjab Police.
