Hindi Diwas and the debate over Hindi’s status

Hindi Diwas – If you are part of India then a sense of belongings in the Hindi language you must have. Hindi itself is a peculiar language which is having own importance and in recent times we can see the declining importance of  Hindi because people are following European or western traditions and culture but the Hindi language is having own relevance. Whenever you listen to something in  Hindi in comparison to any other thing then you must feel that sense of attachment to Hindi.

हिंदी भाषा नही सार है

और आपस में जोड़ने का 

एक बेहतर माध्यम 

वा कहीं हिंदी जैसे

भाईचारे के पीछे का वार्तालाप है। 

Why Hindi diwas? 

 Hindi diwas or day celebrated on the day of 14 September, After the independence in 1946, on 14 September, the constitution assembly claimed or accepted the Devnagari lipi of India as an official language, and on the date on 14th of September our first prime minister declare this day as  Hindi diwas. 

If we are talking about the relevance and the importance of the Hindi language then it is invaluable,  Hindi is shaving ancient background and connected to the Sanskrit language, and it depicts the cultures as well. AT present  Hindi became the language of more than a billion people.  Hindi is not among the important language but along with the important language, but Hindi is the recognition and respected in India as well.  Hindi always works as a mediator which helps to connect the two Indians across the country. In India, there are officially 22 languages having 72507 lipi and among these only  Hindi is the language that connects and reflects the integrity of India. 

Hindi Diwas

World  Hindi day celebrated on 10 January, which commemorates at the world level. As in the period of colonialism, it has been realized that colonialism didn’t uproot widely but it rests culturally somewhere. And to restrict the increasing English mode or  Hindi ignorance  Hindi as a day or diwas concept came into the limelight. 

Today we can see our prime minister being vocal in  Hindi even in foreign countries which reflects how they maintain  Hindi language authenticity. 

Even  Hindi diwas is for highlighting the  Hindi importance only, it is not only for a day but for whole life like the government is working to promote the  Hindi at the grassroots level through the education, in national education policy this has been included as well. 

NEP education policy also supported Hindi as well. 

 Hindi is the fifth most known and used language. But do you think why 5th? Because the youth of contemporary time took  Hindi for granted but they forget that this is the actual mode of communication and even feel emotion. Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar and Rajbhasha Gaurav Puraskar awards are also given to ministries, departments, public sector units (PSUs), nationalized banks, and citizens on  Hindi Diwas for their contribution and promotion of  Hindi. 

Hindi Diwas is largely celebrated with high significance. As we know Hindi is now being treated as the world’s best language. Many countries now believe it to be the most used language in the world.

Many literary, poetry related program used to conducted by the people in order to spread awareness about  Hindi language, even at present time Kumarwishwas who is the best  Hindi poet is deemed as an influencer for the youth. Some Kavi sammelan also used organized on this  Hindi diwas day.
