OPS
An OPS employee will receive 50% of their last base salary upon retirement plus parental leave benefits or their average salary for the last 10 months of service, whichever is more favorable. Employees must fulfill their 10-year service obligations. Under OPS, employees are not required to contribute to pensions.
NPS rule
Under this National Pension System, companies contribute 10% of their base salary to the NPS, and employers contribute up to 14%. A private-sector employee may also voluntarily participate in NPS, although some rules have changed.
