Navratri fills our life with the colour of joy and happiness. Each and every devotee just waiting for Navratri so, that they can welcome the nine goddesses who Symbolise the nine forms and who are having nine different colour preferences. 

Devotees use to wear the clothes of these nine clothes. Nine days of worship of goddess Durga and the winter Navratri are going to start on 26 September 2022 till 5 October 2022 it is believed that during these nine days whoever worships goddess Durga with true heart and devotion they find some peace happiness and prosperity since the goddess take away all their trouble during Navratri for 9 days 9 different form of goddess Durga are worshipped and shard Navratri is a most auspicious and important festival among Hindus. 

Significance of each day

9 day long festival of Shardiya Navratri is dedicated to the mother god Durga who represents feminine power and it comments on the first day of Ashwin month.

Day 1:- The first day of Navratri is deemed to be the day of goddess Shailputri who is a form of maa Durga and she symbolises the yellow colour which itself signify and joy and cheerfulness, 

Day 2:- The second day is known for brahmacharini, which Symbolises the colour green and refers to various aspects of mother nature and its nourishing qualities. 

Day 3:- Chandraghanta maa is worshipped.

Day 4:- On the fourth Kushmanda form of maa Durga is worshipped where grey refers to the quality of destruction of evil. 

Day 5:- The fifth day is Skand Mata and she Symbolises orange colour which refers to tranquillity. Brightness and knowledge. 

Day 6:- The sixth day is the day of Katyani, which Symbolises, white represents leave, serenity, calm and purity. 

Day 7:- On the seventh day, Kala Ratri’s form of Durga is worshipped, which Symbolises Red passion as well as anger with uprooting evil.

Day 8:- For the eighth day, Mahagauri worshipped, royal blue represents divine energy. 

Day 9:- Ninth is the day of Siddhidatri Symbolises pink and represents purity and compassion. And on Dashami where Navratri culminates. The colour purple represents goal and energy.

Even in Gujarati tradition also followed by Delhi in recent time Garba nights used to organised for devotees in order to celebrate the Navratri by dancing where you can wear an orange dress with match dandiya as this colour is bright, vibrant, colour signifies energy and happiness. Second-day white outfits you can choose like Ghaghra choli, authentic suit, suit – salwar etc. The white colour signifies purity, peace and mediation.

The third day is the Red colour which signifies Beauty and fearlessness and rewards the people with bravery, grace and courage.

Fourth, the day you can choose the outfit with the blue dress which signifies good health and prosperity. fifth yellow, sixth green seventh grey, eighth purple, ninth peacock green you can choose these colours for various nine days which will fill your life with joy.

The world we are living in is a fast-paced one with hardly any time for oneself. The nine days of Navratri are designed to melt down the year-long tiredness and restore mental cool. If one is a little heedful to follow a sattvic diet and meditate regularly there is the possibility of a deep body-mind detox in just a span of nine days.
