Pollution means contamination of land, air, and water that make our environment dirty, unhealthy and even unbearable to breathe. In other words, we can say that pollution is the effect of unwanted changes in our surroundings that make our surroundings worst to live for plants, animals, and human beings Pollution is increasing day by day and making miserable life for both biotic and Abiotic. It’s increasing by human ignorance and the way they are doing things in exploitative manners. It has been creating an imbalance in our ecological system.
There are mainly four types of pollution:-
- 1. Land pollution/ soil pollution:-
Refers to the contamination of land due to the presence of the hazardous chemical in the soil that affects our life directly and indirectly. For instance, any toxic chemicals present in the soil will get absorbed by plants and make the food chain polluted. Because it passed up through the food chain. Land can become polluted by household garbage and industrial waste.
Water pollution occurs when toxic and harmful chemicals and substances get dissolved into the water bodies like seas rivers, streams, and lakes. It affects marine life. Industrial waste by industries releases harmful substances that directly affect the species of marines. In today’s time, Ganga and Yamuna have been polluted badly by humans. In the name of religious practices, they are not even thinking and accepting the fact that they are making our holy rivers contaminated.
- 2. Water pollution
There are some examples of water pollution – Raw sewage running into lakes and streams, Radiation spills and nuclear accidents, and so on Air pollution:- occurs when harmful and toxic gases from vehicles and industries get mixed or dissolved into the air. For example, fuel combustion releases a number of chemicals into the air. It makes our air contaminated and unbearable to breathe. It directly affects our mental health and physical health as well.
Smog can irritate the eyes and throat and can damage the lungs. Noise pollution:- refers to the unpleasant sound that affects our mental health and can damage the human ear and even animal and bird ears. It occurs due to excessive high decibel noises from playing loud music, industries, vehicles, and construction noise Pollution is the presence of the unwanted substance in the environment, and there is even the biggest concern at present you can see hazardous pollution at Diwali time due to parallel burning collectively and firecracker, that time you can see the pollution level at hazardous state.
- 3. Air pollution
Now the question arises what’s the permanent solution for it? It looks like tradition nowadays that at the end of every year, Delhi and neighboring states will face such kinds of pollution. is it going in the right direction? Well, I don’t think so, I have seen a Delhi government advertisement on 3 pages of a newspaper. Is it will go to make people aware really?

Conditions are so worsened that it generates itching in the eyes, sometimes leading to eye pain as the harmful components of pollution affect the eyes and skin. Along with it breathlessness, Asthama, Dama, hypertension, and insomnia are some diseases that people have to suffer.
- 4. Noise pollution
Noise pollution is an invisible danger. It cannot be seen, but it is present nonetheless, both on land and under the sea. Noise pollution is considered to be any unwanted or disturbing sound that affects the health and well-being of humans and other organisms.
