Diwali Mela
Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the most important occasions for Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs to come together. This event is observed during the Hindu lunar month Kartik, which usually lasts five days (from mid-October to mid-November). One of his most famous Hindu holidays, Diwali symbolizes the metaphysical “victory of light over darkness, goodness over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.” The event is often associated with Ganesha, the god of insight, and Lakshmi, the goddess of fertility. and the return of Sri Ram.
People usually turn on the lights inside and outside their homes on this day. Do rangolis and do pujas. People play with firecrackers and celebrate the festival in a big way.
Diwali Mela is also widely celebrated in India. These Melas offer visitors a lot of attractions and fun. These Mela have many stalls and rides. There are specially decorated stalls displaying a variety of items, from clothing to food to accessories and even toys, and there are lights everywhere.
Rides are the main attractions that attract large crowds, especially children. These rides are usually smaller than adventure parks and include a Ferris wheel. Some stalls have games that are built by providers that have the largest number of people trying their luck.
Some Popular Diwali Melas
1. Dilli Haat INA Diwali bazaar –
When looking for the best Diwali decorations, delicious food, and a tonne of shopping, Dilli Haat INA Diwali Mela Bazaar is one of the best locations to go. Even though this location is usually accessible to tourists looking to indulge in a Delhi shopping binge, it transforms into nothing short of a wonderland during the Diwali holiday. This store has everything you need to buy during Diwali, including delectable dishes, handicrafts, clothing, and everyday products.

3. Blind Relief Association Diwali Mela :
This 42-year-old Diwali Mela in Delhi, which was put on by the Blind Relief Association, is arguably the most well-known in the city. It features more than 230 kiosks packed with every Diwali item you could possibly want, from paper and stitched goods to candles and home decor, all of which were handcrafted by trainees and trainers of the Blind School on the premises as well as vendors from around India.
Blind Relief Association’s head of communications, Swapna Merlin, says, “This meal was founded initially to demonstrate to the world what visually impaired people can achieve, because of the misconception that they can’t do anything helpful in society.” The majority of people are unaware that we also operate several rehabilitation, educational, and training programs for those who are visually impaired. The goal is to empower them so they can work for themselves or join the workforce using our placement cell.
I have personally visited once and needless to say their products are to die for. They have the best handmade candles, bags, and decoration items.

Shop at Dastkar for everything festive and colorful. Even if we don’t need an excuse, I believe that once you see the handloom bed covers, sheets, sarees with Kantha embroidery, chanderi silks, kurtas with block patterns, embroidery, and more, you’ll want everything. The ensembles can be improved even further with accessories like thread art earrings, thick necklaces, handcrafted juttis, and painted leather purses. I particularly adore the variety of art on display at Dastkar, including Gond and Phad paintings. Check out the diyas, lamps, door hangings with flowers, baskets, and gift boxes, as well as a few vendors offering all-natural and organic bath, body, and cosmetic goods, for specific Diwali shopping.
